Job Title: Music Therapist (Sub-contractor) – Two positions available
Hours: Generally, the therapist would start part time and build into a full time contract. However, full case loads are available and time frame would simply depend on therapist’s experience and comfort level. Typically, M-F hours with flexible scheduling.
Salary/Benefits: Very competitive hourly wage. Sign-on Bonus available.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a credentialed music therapist, MT-BC (or be eligible to sit for exam – with certification prior to start date). Therapist must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Experience with developmental disabilities preferred. Early childhood experience/training is beneficial. Music Together® teacher training/experience preferred, but not required. NMT training preferred, but not required. Therapist must be willing to serve clients in Southwestern Indiana.

Description: We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and caring applicant to serve individuals of all ages with development disabilities. The population served may include, but not be limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Integration Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Dual Diagnosis. In addition, this position offers unique opportunities for professional development to include: weekly clinical supervision, Music Together® teaching options, community in-services, as well as collaboration with other agencies/disciplines.
Job Duties: Conduct initial music therapy assessments and develop treatment plans; provide weekly one-on-one music therapy sessions completed in the home or clinic setting; provide ongoing communication with family members and team members for the purpose of training, continuity of care, and treatment evaluation; complete weekly progress notes to summarize client progress toward goals; complete quarterly treatment reports, annual comprehensive music therapy assessments, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries (as needed). Other public speaking opportunities and community events will be available for participation.
